Refurbishment and extension of an existing village hall, recently purchased by its long-term tennants from the British Legion.

The first phase of this project is the renovation of an adjoining stable block. Careful reorganisation of its interior allows it to work as an office for a local charity and an internet café.

The spaces can work independently from the main hall, yet compliment its functions. Client aspirations were translated into a package of drawn information which could be taken on by a contractor in order to deliver a working building.

On completion of the stable blocks, attention will shift towards a new extension to replace a set of outdated ancillary buildings along the edge of the main hall.

update: phase one complete and opened by Lindsay Hoyle MP on 25th April 2009!
